Well, positive and negative words work the same way.
Negativity is a lot stickier than positivity, that’s why it’s a lot easier to use negative terms than positive terms.
Whether it’s towards yourself, money, your looks or anything in between.
When you fail at something or get frustrated with a task, most will say – what’s wrong with me, I’m such an idiot, etc.
And few of us will say – No matter what it takes, I’m going to come out on top. See the difference?
You’ve got to choose your words carefully. Words will always do one of two things – enhance your life or worsen your life.

1. I love myself
Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world. – Lucille Ball.
But why would I say that? That’s arrogant, well why wouldn’t you say that? That’s NOT arrogant, vain or being full of yourself.
It’s called loving yourself because If you don’t love yourself, nobody else can do it for you.
So many of us go around hating ourselves and affirming that we hate ourselves, DAILY.
But the only problem with that is you’re going to continue to keep hating yourself, because what you affirm is what you believe.
So take some time out to love yourself, affirm that you love yourself, and act like a person who loves themselves.
Identify your qualities, your good traits, and characteristics that make you shine.
Pay attention to your talents, what people love about you, admire about you and the compliments people give you. Acknowledge your talents and embrace them.
Don’t just say “I love myself”, align the affirmation with your actions.

2. I believe in myself
You have to believe in yourself before anybody else believes in you. – Ray LaMontagne.
Whatever it takes for you to believe it, make sure you do it. The same way you repeat – I don’t believe in myself, you can also repeat – I believe in myself.
And the same way you’ve ended up believing you don’t “believe” in yourself, the same way you’ll end up – believing in yourself by affirming it daily. It all starts with action and repetition.
Take action more often, “just do it” more often, and get “uncomfortable” more often.
The more you take action, the stronger your confidence and self belief will become.

3. I choose to be happy
When it comes to happiness you have two choices.
- Choose to be happy. (Get on with it, move on, be positive, be bigger than your problems, etc.)
- Or choose to be unhappy. (Stress out, get mad, complain, bitch, worry, etc.)
So which one is it going to be for you? By choosing to be happy you’re choosing to be positive.
By choosing to be happy you’re choosing not to let situations get the better of you.
By choosing to be happy you’re choosing to be bigger than your obstacles.
And by choosing NOT to be happy, you’re choosing to be defeated by whatever challenges you’re facing.
Store this affirmation in your mental dictionary!
4. I can be successful
How many people have you grown up with who believe they can be successful? How many people did you grow up who used words like “I can be successful”?
Probably not many, If at all. Most of us say “I can’t be successful”, and that’s why we never succeed at anything. Because you’ve already given up before you’ve even started.
Start saying – I can be successful, no matter how tough life is right now. Say – I can be successful, even If you’re struggling in your business right now.
Say – I can be successful, no matter how many times you’ve failed at something. Because you can succeed, and believing you can succeed is a powerful driver to help you get there.
5. I’m more than good enough
I’m not good enough isn’t going to cut it. By saying – I’m not good enough, that’s exactly what you become.
You become a person who is “not good enough” for anybody, not even yourself.
What you want to be affirming is “I’m more than good enough” because you were born to be more than good enough.
Don’t believe the naysayers, bullies, negative people or whoever who’s telling you you’re not good enough.
The reason they’re telling you you’re not good enough is because they believe they’re not good enough, or they feel threatened by the fact you ARE more than good enough.
Say it, believe it, repeat it and live it.
6. I choose to be a positive person
It’s easy to be a negative person, and negativity ain’t hard to find.
All you’ve got to do is look on the national or global news channels. They seem to promote it enough.
In fact, all you’ve got to do is go onto YouTube and look at the comments. You’ll see an ocean full of em.
Choose to be the positive person, the person who lights up the room.
Choose to be the positive blogger, Facebook user, Twitter user, YouTube commentator.
Choose to be the positive person in your house hold. Choose to be the positive person with positive aspirations and positive goals.
Say “I choose to be a positive person” because anything positive is better than anything negative. 🙂
7. I’m grateful
Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. – William Arthur Ward.
There are a lot of things to be grateful for, and affirming gratitude makes a massive difference.
You can be grateful for your relationship, your friends, your success, your parents, your house, your finances, where you live and so on.
Acknowledge what you have rather than give yourself wrinkles over what you don’t have, yet.

8. I appreciate
Appreciate the fact that your parents care for you. Appreciate those around you who treat you with respect.
Appreciate how far you’ve come and how much progress you’ve made.
Appreciate the people that have helped you, inspired and influenced you in some way. Appreciate the internet and how easy it is to connect with like minded people.
Express your appreciation as much as you can.
9. I’m overcoming my challenges
Saying “I can’t get over this” ain’t going to help you overcome your challenges.
Saying “It’s too difficult” ain’t going to help you overcome your challenges either.
What you should be saying is “I’m overcoming my challenges”, and your actions should align with those words too.
Saying, thinking and believing it is one thing, doing it is another.
10. The more money I make, the more freedom I can have

Most people have been fed a bunch of bad apples when it comes to money. We think “the more money I have, the more problems I’ll have”, or “If I have more money, people will steal from me”, etc.
Well, no shit Sherlock! But guess what? Whether you’re poor, rich, wealthy, broke, getting by or doing ok, you’ll have problems and people will steal from you. You see it on the news all the time.
People steal a measly £20 or $100 dollars out of purses, wallets, shops, you name it. But back to the point.
